Jean-Louis BRAYER
Ph.D. Chemical Engineer is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1982 and the Eugène Schueller Prize in 1983. After obtaining his PhD with Sir Derek BARTON (Nobel Prize) and P. POTIER at Gif sur Yvette, he successively joined Roussel UCLAF in 1982 with the position of group leader and Glaxo Wellcome with the position of Head of Medicinal Chemistry. He is the author of many publications in the domain of natural product synthesis, new methodologies in organic synthesis, more than 25 patents in the agrochemical field and also in process and fluorine chemistry. During his career, he has developed many new original synthetic methods. In January 2000, with Benoît FOLLEAS they founded Diverchim as an integrated tool for Discovery and Development.

Benoît FOLLEAS
Ph.D. Chemical Engineer is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris. He received his Ph.D. in 1997 from the University of Paris VI working with Professor Jean NORMANT on the new access to trifluoromethyl anion and its synthetic application. In 1998, he joined the Anthony BARRETT group as a postdoctoral research fellow at Imperial College. He is the author of many publications in the domain of total synthesis and trifluoromethyl chemistry. He met Jean-Louis BRAYER in 1999 and founded DIVERCHIM with the position of Head of Chemistry.

Jean-Pierre DEMOUTE
Ph.D. Chemical Engineer is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Arts et Métiers de Paris. He received his Ph.D. in 1969 from the University of Paris working with Professor Etienne. During his long career in the life sciences industry, he has got a broad experience in chemistry and in other close areas as well. Within Roussel Uclaf, he started in pharmaceutical research (steroid chemistry: synthesis of new compounds and total synthesis) then he moved to the plant protection division where he has discovered and developed new potent insecticides from the pyrethroid family. Later as Head of the Chemical Process Development of Aventis Crop Science in Frankfurt he was involved in the development of various new active ingredients and in the improvement of the production of existing molecules. He published more than 30 scientific papers and he is quoted as inventor in more than 100 patents. He joined Diverchim in 2001as Scientific Adviser

Our scientific teams

Nolwenn LEPRÊTRE
Ph.D. Chemical Engineer is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Organique et Minérale. She received her Ph.D from the university of Cergy-Pontoise in 2001, working with professor G. CAHIEZ on an efficient synthesis of Csp2-C bonds by Iron-catalyzed cross coupling of enol phosphate and Grignard reagents. Between 2001 and 2003, she worked as a Ph. D at the biotechnology company AUREUS- PHARMA to elaborate a medicinal chemistry database of GPCR family (GProtein Receptor coupling). She joined the scientific Diverchim team in June 2003 asa Team Leader and Project Leader in the Drug Discovery Team.

Natacha FRISON
Ph.D. Chemical Engineer received her Ph.D. from the University of Orléans in 2003 and was a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes in 2000. During her Ph.D. under the guidance of Pr. M. Monsigny and Dr. AC. Roche, she worked on the synthesis of glycoclusters, looking for highly specific ligands for membrane lectins of dendritic cells. She joined the scientific Diverchim team in November 2003 as a postdoctoral research fellow and she is now a project leader in the Drug Discovery team.

Emmanuel THOMAS
PhD Chemical Engineer is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Châtenay-Malabry, France in 2005 under the direction of Professor J.-D. Brion and Servier laboratories. He worked on the synthesis of various vitamin D analogues showing anti-proliferative properties on cancer cells. He joined Diverchim team in 2005 to work as a postdoctoral research fellow on steroids syntheses and is now a project leader in the Drug Discovery team.

Hubert BOTTE
Hubert is a graduate of the Ecole de Chimie deLille-Villeneuve d’Asq. During his career in the life sciences industry, he has got a broad experience in chemistry (R&D and small scale production). He joined Diverchim in 2002 and became Team Leader of the scale-up unit in 2004.

Tahar BELHADJ
Ph D. After his studies at the Orsay University, Tahar obtained a doctoral degree in 2003 at the Claude Bernard University at Lyon under the direction of Prof. Peter Goekjian. He then joined the group of Prof. Moody in Exeter and Nottingham, England, for a post-doctoral position of 1.5 years. He is now working at Diverchim as a project leader in Drug Discovery.

Peter OOSTING
Ph D. Peter obtained his master's degree at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He then obtained a doctoral degree under the direction of Prof. Leon Ghosez at the Institut Européen de Chimie et de Biologie in Bordeaux. He joined Diverchim in May 2008 as a post-doc and now confirmed as a project leader in Discovery

Bruno DUDOT
Ph D. After obtaining his doctoral degree at the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles in Gif-sur-Yvette, Bruno first joined Alix pharma, then Diverchim as a project leader. He is a specialist in vitamin D chemistry and new route scouting.

Bertrand CLARISSE
Bertrand finished his studies at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie in Lille in 1975.
